FAQs:

Q1. How could I know what size of vehicle I should choose to do the moving?

A1: In order to give our customer a best rate, we are keeping the most regular size truck all the time, which is 16' cube van. By doing that, we are trying to avoid the larger size truck's high price. Based on our experience, you will find the rough idea for your in-town moving as below:

Bachelor, one bed room or two bedrooms: 16' truck with 1 trip

Three bedrooms or town house: 16' truck with 2 trips

When you are going to make a long distance moving, give us a call, we are long distance moving specialist. Since the long distance moving can only have one trip, we will give you the best way to deal with your moving with the lowest price.

Q2: Can I choose the cargo van to move for my large 1/2/3 bedrooms since the price of it is cheaper than the truck?

A2: Sorry, for the operating cost reason, we are not longer able to use cargo van as the moving vehicles. However, we have to mention you that it would take much longer if choose the smaller vehicle to do the bigger moving, since you may need more trips for all the stuffs you have. For all the stuffs in a 1/2/3 bedroom home, the 16' truck would be the best choice.

Q3: Do I need one more moving helper during my moving?

A3: We always strongly suggest our customers to add one more moving helper (+15 dollar/hour) to help the move. By doing this way, it could make the moving easier and faster, and customers don't need to lift heavy things by themselves. They can just get some light and small stuffs, or let our moving helpers do all of the job. For a 1 or 2 bedroom suit, 2 men would be enough for the moving. For a 3 bedroom suit, 3 men is the most common choice.

Q4: How long will it take to have all the moving done?

A4: With good preparation by our customers in advance of the moving following our suggestion, generally the moving could be done within:

2 to 3 hours for  Bachelor or one bed room

4 to 6 hours for two bed room or three bed room

We will not guaranty the time being consumed due to very different conditions each time. And those hours are all based on two or three of our professional moving helpers doing the move for whole process.

Q5: What's the traveling time? What's the benefit our customers will get from 'NO TRAVELING TIME'?

A5: Traveling time is the time period that covers a moving truck driving from company to the customers' home and driving back to the company when moving is done. Most moving companies will charge at least 1 hour traveling time (depends on the distance ) to the customers to cover the usage of the truck and labor of driver and moving helpers. And from some point, it is a reasonable charge. Here's an example:

Customer A chose a moving service which is 80 dollars/hours (2 men) plus 1 hour traveling time. The process of moving is done with 3 hours and 30 minutes. The Final cost of moving would be:

4hours x 80 dollars/hour + 1 hour traveling x 80 dollars/hour.

It comes to 400 dollars before TAX.

If customer A chose our service which is 75 dollars/hour (2 men) with NO TRAVELING TIME. The process of moving is done within 3 hours and 30 minutes as well. The final cost of moving would be:

4 hours x 75 dollars/hour + NO TRAVELING TIME.

It comes to 300 dollars before TAX.

What a huge saving!

Q6: What's the policy of 'PRICE MATCH'?

A6: We want our customers to get more benefits when they choose our service, so we give our customers our 'PRICE MATCH' policy. When our customers call us, and get the quotation of the moving service, they then call another company to get the lower rate based on the same conditions, equipment and labor. Our customers could call us back with the proof, we would like to give the same rate.

This policy is only applied to the truck with long distance moving. We keep the full right to deny any rate which is not accepted by us.

Q7: Why you need to charge the 'Minimal three hours' when use the truck?

A7: We have the greatest price in Ottawa area. We also have the greatest price match policy to make sure our service is the most affordable in the market. And more, we have the 'No traveling time' policy which give our customer our best to fit their moving budget. Based on our experience, the moving by using the truck generally takes at least three hours, most of time, takes longer than three hours. So we believe our three hours minimal policy is proper for most of our customers. Also the minimal hours policy is widely used by moving companies to protect the moving  company itself from being used. For some people who want to use truck for only one or two hours, we strongly suggest those customers that they could get a rental truck with around one hundred dollars and DIY the moving by themselves.

Q8: Do you do the piano moving?

A8: Here's the great news. Starting from 2010, we DO the piano moving in most cases. The heavy music instrument moving should be very carefully taken care of because of the expensive the music instrument and the heavy weight itself. So we move the piano in most cases EXCLUDING 'more than 3 steps of stairs', 'going upstairs/downstairs', 'grand piano'.

There will be $100 extra added to the moving cost when we do the piano moving. The cost is still very less compare to the current market price.

If you want to schedule a piano moving only (not with apt/house moving), the price starts from $150. You can call us for further information.

Q9: (NEW) Why should I tip the movers?

A9: To answer this question, we need to know what makes the movers salary.

In the market, most OTHER company’s' movers salary are based on the time they spend during the moving process. They earn 2 times more money if they spend 2 times more hours for a moving. That's why the OTHER movers might not try their best during moving. Since their salary is only related to moving hours they work for, they intend to work longer and less efficient to have more income and more break time.

Our movers salary are based on time AND tips. So they have to make sure moving is done efficiently in order to satisfy the customer. Since anyway they will move the same amount of stuff in one moving, so if they could get it done with one hour less and get paid with $20 tips for the whole moving because of their hard working, they will definitely choose to do it in this way. They might make the same or even better money by working less time, though they need to work harder to earn it. It is still a win-win situation for both them and customers.

So our movers will try their best for every works they do. If you are satisfied, please think about tipping them for the great 110% effort they tried.
